"The monolithic sound of DKANDLE's record has obvious roots: from Jesu to Kraus, from Nothing to Whirr, in short, that whole dense mass of grunge-gaze - uncompromising watts and humbuckers on steroids - that has been dictating the line lately in the international shoegaze niche. The Brazilian (but currently based in Florence) Denis Kandle has clear ideas and a sound made of the same substance as our homes, namely metal & wicked thoughts."
